This opening is NOT for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, but for Project-Based Voucher assisted units in the properties listed below. Applicants may apply to one or more waitlists so long as they meet the age (if applicable) and household size requirements. See Subsidy Standard* below.
Preference will be given to San Mateo County residents. In addition to the income limits, other restrictions may apply. Detailed information on the HACSM’s eligibility, waitlist, and preference policy can be found in the Administrative Plan at: www.smchousing.org under the Resources tab. The project owners may also have additional eligibility criteria, such as lower income limits for certain units and resident suitability screening such as rental history and credit.
All completed applications submitted through www.mysmchousing.com on or before 11/30/2021 at 5:00 PM will be placed on the waitlist. Positions on the waitlist will be randomly placed by lottery.
*Subsidy Standard: HACSM will place applicants to specific unit size on the waiting list based on the following standard:
Head of household and his/her spouse, co-head, or partner will be assigned one bedroom.
All remaining family members will be assigned one bedroom per two family members regardless of gender, age, or relationship of these family members.
