A wind advisory for Redwood City and much of the San Francisco Bay Area will go into effect Monday afternoon, according to meteorologists.

The National Weather Service forecast for the Bay Area calls for rain likely beginning Monday afternoon and into Tuesday. 

Daytime highs will be in the low to mid-60s throughout the Bay Area with overnight lows in the 50s. The wind advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Monday through 3 a.m. Tuesday throughout the Bay Area, with south winds from 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusts of up to 45 mph.

Dry conditions should return for the remainder of the week. Veterans Day looks to be mostly sunny.
