Happy Monday, Redwood City! And Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope you had an excellent and safe Super Bowl Weekend, and I hope you had fun at the 11th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration, which took place on Saturday (if you went).
We have a jam-packed week full of news for you. Toll lanes and express lanes are popping up all over Bay Area highways. It's the latest way for transportation agencies to deal with traffic congestion. Here's how to navigate them.
The Redwood City Council plans to discuss redistricting once again. Join them for another public hearing this evening around 6 p.m.
Another item the council will discuss tonight surrounds the Comfort Inn & Suites recently purchased by the county. The governor announced more funding on Friday that will go towards the purchase, rehabilitation, and operation of the Comfort Inn & Suites, the 51-room complex at 1818 El Camino Real in Redwood City. The council will discuss whether it should spend roughly $1.3 million to help the county upgrade the recently purchased hotel by adding things such as kitchenettes and accessibility upgrades.
Be sure to send us your news tips, photos and corrections to editor@rwcpulse.com.
