Sixteen cities in San Mateo County are joining forces on a new mental health initiative. The program, Mental Health First Aid Training, will give interested residents the tools to help those in crisis. Redwood City Mayor Giselle Hale has been at the helm.
"The mayors recognize that our county's mental health challenges cut across race, gender, ethnic and economic differences, and these issues cannot be addressed by one city alone," Hale said.
