Did you know that Redwood City Library has its very own honey bees? You can even order jars of honey, made by bees that live on the library roof at this link.

Kendal Sager cares for the RCPL honey bees on the Library's rooftop. She invites kids and families to celebrate World Bee Day with her this Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at the Downtown Library.

There's plenty going on at the Redwood City Library! It is also building a LEGO Robotics League and local kids are welcome to join at one or more weekly sessions or our summer camp. Utilizing LEGO Spike Prime Kits, students participate in individual and team challenges and learn the basics of robotics. All materials are provided and no experience is necessary.

The Redwood City 4th of July Parade, Northern California's largest, is less than two months away. This year, actress Linda Cardellini will be Grand Marshal in the parade! If you'd like to participate in the parade, or have an idea for a fun and entertaining parade or festival entry, email the parade committee at info@parade.org. The committee has grants available for first time float builders.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office announced bicyclists can now report "3 Foot Rule" violations and other bicycle-related complaints via an online reporting system. Read more here.

Thank you Beverly Morgan for today's photo: "Wall of jasmine and hydrangeas."
