Hello Redwood City,
It's Monday. Again. No, there's no button to unsubscribe, I checked. So might as well get on with the day's work.
Well, last week we brought you beavers. Today, our top story is the opposite of cute. Biosafety advocates in Redwood City are very concerned about an upcoming structure at El Camino Real that includes an R&D lab. Part of the apprehension lies in not knowing exactly what kind of lab this will be. Besides, it's in such close proximity to the city's downtown area that experts are worried people might be exposed to harmful substances down the line.
But like every story, this one too has two sides; city officials claim measures to protect the health and safety of the public, and the environment, are firmly in place. I'll be interested in knowing how the whole thing pans out.
If that gets too heavy, then take a deep breath and look at the gorgeous green photo of the El Corte De Madera Creek Preserve, for there's no better antidote to all things toxic than nature, is there?
Have a productive Monday!
