Good morning, Redwood City,

After a 7-year hiatus, the veterans at the American Legion Post 105 are dusting off their bingo cards and bringing the game back with a little help from Vanguard Music and Performing Arts, a Santa Clara nonprofit organization. The games will take place at the Post's facility at 651 El Camino Real. Redwood City doesn't currently have any bingo games operating in the city. George Smith, the commander of American Legion Post 105, said the bingo operation would allow the post to continue supporting veterans and the Redwood City community. On Wednesday night on State Highway 92 in San Mateo, a man tried to dash across the highway and was hit by a California Highway Patrol car. The officer was already on duty, transporting someone who was suspected of DUI. It seems the man unexpectedly ran out from the side of the road near the Delaware Street exit. According to CHP officials, the officer had barely any time to react, especially since the man was almost directly in front of the patrol car when it happened. Read more on it here

Special thanks to Carla Sillin for her photo of the sunset taken from the Elks Club. Yesterday's photo of the day was of Tahoe City by moonlight taken by Sheila Cepero. Have a photo to share? Please send it to us at editor@rwcpulse.com.
