Good morning!
Hope you had an amazing weekend. Redwood City celebrated Dia de los Muertos on Sunday with catrinas, vibrantly colored marigolds, ofrendas, art and lots of culture. If you made it to the Day of the Dead celebration, let me know what you thought. Kudos points if you share your photos with me.
Yesterday was also the 50th anniversary edition of the New York City Marathon, and our very own reporter, Leah Worthington, was among roughly 33,000 people who crossed the finish line. If you see Leah in the coming days, be sure to say hi and congratulate her. Just don't challenge her to a race!
And in city news…
Tonight the city council will discuss the current state of COVID-19, its impact on the city and the city's response to the pandemic. Council members will also participate in a study session on the city's overall sustainability efforts and its progress toward its goal to achieve carbon neutrality by the year 2045.
Signing off,
Michelle
