Good morning, Redwood City!
Only two days left until 2022…which means only two more days to finalize your New Year's Eve festivities.
If you're looking to ring in the new year at a local favorite, the Redwood City Improvement Association has some suggestions. Options include everything from a disco-themed brunch to a live mariachi band—check out the full list here.
New year, new ‘do? For Redwood City’s homeless population, a new nonprofit is bringing fresh cuts to those in need. Founder and hairstylist Joseph Kautz gives clients the full, luxury experience in his mobile salon—for free.
“A lot of [my clients] are pretty desperate for some pampering. They haven't had a professional haircut in years,” Kautz said. “I want them to have the olfactory experience of expensive products that they’d get in a high-end salon.” Read more about Kautz and his services here.
Wishing everyone a happy penultimate day of 2021!
Happy Thursday…
Signing off,
Leah
