Good Morning, Redwood City and happy Monday. Here's what's happening around town that you should know about. Don't forget to read the news headlines below. 

A man shot five people, including a 16-year-old boy, in Redwood City early yesterday morning. The shooting occurred on the 400 block of Redwood Avenue in the Palm Park neighborhood yesterday. According to police, the five people were hospitalized with "serious not life-threatening injuries." Read more here.

The Redwood City School District Board of Trustees will meet this Wednesday. The public session will start at 7 p.m. Participate on Zoom using this link, or attend in person at 750 Bradford St. in Redwood City. 

Annual wildfire training is scheduled in Huddart County Park in Woodside from Mon., May 8 through Sat., May 13, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Park users and neighbors may see fire trucks and hear equipment. Helicopters from several agencies will fly in the area and practice landing and take-off in the park. The exercises will not involve smoke or fire activity. 

Enjoy some fine wine and live jazz at the Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival, happening this Saturday, May 13. 

Curious about bonsai care? On Saturday, May 20, Filoli hosts the Kusamura Bonsai Club as they prune their bonsai trees and answer your questions about this ancient artform. Stop by the Dining Room Terrace between 11am – 4pm to get bonsai care tips and admire specimens from both Filoli and Kusamura’s collections. Reserve your tickets to see this unique demonstration!

Redwood City is home to many vibrant, wonderful murals. In celebration of lovely weather, community artwork, and Bay Area Bike To Wherever Days, you are invited to a free, open-to-the-public group bike ride to meet artists, tour various murals and get some exercise and fresh air with friends.
