Good morning, Redwood City!
By now it seems that everyone's power has been restored, although many had to wait hours, even more than a day for it to come back.
The Redwood City Fire Department was also busier than usual on Sunday, responding to some 150 incidents, including downed trees and power lines, flooding and vehicle accidents. And remnants from the storm can still be seen in all the fallen leaves and branches and other debris.
We heard from one resident who applauded recently installed "rain gardens" for helping mitigate the worst of the flooding, and from another resident who had just restocked her fridge when the power went out—and experienced very confusing and mixed messages from PG&E. More stories to come.
That's all for now, but we have many stories in the works and are always excited to hear from you. So let us know what you want to read, and enjoy your day.
Signing off,
Leah
