Good morning, Redwood City!

Another wet morning on the Peninsula. Though not as big as last month's rainstorm, this one is still technically an "atmospheric river," according to meteorologists. The winds and rains were a bit lighter than expected, but it seems some of you may have still lost power. I'm curious how outages have affected you and your families and may continue to throughout the winter—get in touch if you've got a story to share!

Hey commuters, Highway 101 is seeing some updates with testing being done on new express lanes for carpool traffic. "Toll testing" banners will be added above the HOV lanes between the San Mateo/Santa Clara County line and Whipple Avenue—and usage will be free for all until the express lanes officially open.

Pedestrians, too, will be seeing an upgrade with tomorrow's grand opening of a new pathway connecting the Bayfront area with Downtown's Main Street. Grab your bikes and head on over for the ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. tomorrow!

Finally…think your kids have what it takes to be in the circus? Want them to brush up on those juggling or dog-training skills? Registration opens today for the Zoppé Family Circus's Holiday Camp, which runs from November 22-24. Kids get to learn from the pros and participate in a final showcase "under the big top," as they call it in the biz. More info here.

That's all for now—more to come. Stay dry folks!

Signing off,

Leah
