Good morning Redwood City,
Did anyone catch the partial lunar eclipse last night? What a beauty, right? I couldn't get a really good look at it, but from what I saw as I was leaving La Viga, it was amazing. I would love to see the photos of it, though. Here are some I found online.
Did you know that Redwood City wasn't always called "Redwood City?" Redwood City was once part of Mexico and positioned inside a portion of land called Rancho de las Pulgas—the literal translation being "The Ranch of the Fleas." But after that land became part of the United States, Redwood City was called by another name.

A wage dispute between Kaiser Permanente and Local 39 Union engineers continues into its 63rd day. For 24 hours, fellow unionists from all over rallied alongside the operating engineers in a sympathy strike demanding equal pay. Kaiser RWC says that it has gone to the negotiating table multiple times. Here's our update on it.
Finally, did you know that Redwood City has a professional soccer team? I didn't.
