Good morning, Redwood City!
As we continue to celebrate Women's History Month, I want to give a big shoutout to two amazing women right here in Redwood City.
Auntie Lou is a 105-year-old business owner of Auntie Lou's Brew, a tea and coffee delivery company. In her spare time, Auntie Lou helps with cleaning up the Redwood City's Union Cemetery. Thanks, Chris, for telling us about Auntie Lou. She's our heroine, too!
Lisa Janny is a mother of two teenage boys, owns two businesses in Redwood City, teaches and practices yoga, and is a volunteer with Generations United. Her husband Jeff Phillips says of her, "Although she is not in RWC politics or working on a cure for cancer, she is an amazing woman." He adds. "She is an amazing cook for our meatless Mondays." We agree, Jeff. Your wife sounds like an amazing woman!
If you know women who are doing innovative, creative or notable work in/around our city, let us know—we'd love to hear about them!
Ciao,
Michelle
