October 11, 1934 – May 14, 2022
We regret to inform you that our mother Esther Maciel passed away on 05/14/2022 after a short bout with uterine cancer.
We could not have asked for a more loving or caring mother than Esther. God made her with perfection just for us to have and to love.
She was always the rock that held us together and got us thru everything that life brought our way without hesitation. She always made sure that we and anyone that we brought over to the house were well fed (whether or not we were hungry), just as she fed the children at the preschool where she worked as a cook for many many years.
She always made each of her 6 children feel like he or she was the favorite.
She had an enormous amount of friends that she touched bases with whenever she could.
She was our confidant, offered us her shoulders to lean or cry on, offered her lap for our kids, grandkids, etc to sit on.
She was predeceased by her father Guadalupe Gonzalez (1991), her biological mother Estefania Barron (1995?), the mother that raised her, Maria Gonzalez (1977), her first husband Francisco Maciel (1992) and her 2nd husband Trinidad Escobedo (2015).
She is survived by her 6 children: Maria Dolores, Abraham, Francisco, Patricia, Octavio and Esmeralda, by her 23 grandchildren, her 44 great grandchildren and her 4 great great grandchildren.
We will no longer see her doing what she loved: praying, working on her crochet or cross stitch projects or on her word search puzzles.
We cannot imagine a life without her in it, but God has taken his Angel back home where she will be at peace and can watch us from there.
She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She will always be in our hearts
