Good morning, Redwood City!

Can you believe it's nearly June? This year is absolutely flying by.

Celebrate with pride

It's (almost) officially Pride Month, and organizers around the Bay Area are gearing up for a month of festivities. First stop: Courthouse Square.

Today at 5:30 p.m., Redwood City will join the San Mateo County LGBTQ Commission to hold a flag-raising ceremony. There will be LGBTQ resources, a poet, and rainbow cookies for the first 150 to arrive. More info here!

A mobile memorial

Last Friday, you may have caught sight of 21 empty chairs sitting on the Square. They were arranged by local resident, Joey Nava, who wants to honor the victims of the shooting in Uvalde and raise awareness about gun violence. He'll be setting up his display around the downtown area…keep an eye out.

More coming your way soon…stay tuned.

Your reporter,

Leah
