All Redwood City residents are invited to join the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department for a Saturday morning walking tour and workshop on the new Redwood Creek Loop.

The city is seeking feedback on the design of a walking path and bike trail along the edge of Redwood Creek.

The new one-mile trail loop will complete the Recreational Urban Corridor and connect to the Bay Trail, as well as a future park on the waterfront at Maple Street. The goal is to provide visibility and safety at the creek banks while offering ease of access to the creek for kayaks and canoes. In the future, pedestrians will be able to use the overlooks to view wildlife and explore interpretive exhibits.

Attendees are asked to meet at Sports Basement (202 Walnut St.) near Bayshore Highway in Redwood City. The event will last from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.

Contact Claudia Olalla, ASLA colalla@redwoodcity.org or (650) 780-7379 with any questions.
