Good morning,
Not Cool
We're breaking records. And, some may argue, not the good kind. On Monday, Redwood City broke the heat record for Sept. 5 at 107 degrees. The previous record for that date was 97 degrees, set in 1983. But Redwood City was like — HOLD MY BEER… and yesterday broke a heat record for the month and the date. According to the National Weather Service, the hottest it's ever been in Redwood City is 110 degrees. That record was set in 1972. We tied that yesterday.
A heat advisory remains in effect. Be safe. Stay cool. Conserve power between 4 and 9 p.m.
