Good morning, Redwood City!
Last night's vigil for Mahsa Amini was incredibly moving. I joined nearly 70 other people in Courthouse Square to honor the life of the 22-year-old Iranian woman arrested and killed by police for not obeying the country's strict clothing laws for women. In the wake of her death, thousands of Iranians of all genders have risen up around the world to denounce the Iranian rule.
For nearly two hours, Redwood City's central plaza was filled with candles, music and words of prayer. I'll have an update, with photos, on that later today.
