Good morning, Redwood City!
Upcoming festivities
There’s a lot happening over the next couple of days. Here are some highlights:
- Tonight from 6-7 p.m. the Redwood City Public Library is hosting a celebration of Diwali, the annual festival of lights. There will be a Diwali-themed storytime, teaching about holiday traditions and an all-levels dance workshop. More info here.
- The 3rd annual Halloween Haunt Your Home decorating contest is back. Want to see Redwood City’s spookiest homes? Check out the full map of contestants here.
- The Union Cemetery is hosting a “Mysterious Deaths Tour” on Saturday at 10 a.m. I, for one, think this sounds delightfully creepy and fascinating. Details here.
- Lastly, don’t forget to stop by the Kiwanis Farmers Market this Saturday, between 8-12, for a special Halloween edition. As I mentioned yesterday, our new president, Adam Dawes, will be there and is excited to meet you!

An update about the Express: Starting in November, we’ll be sending out our daily newsletter at 3 p.m. instead of 10 a.m. I know—big changes are ahead! This means you’ll get the day’s latest headlines even sooner, and we won’t clog your inbox first thing in the morning. Stay tuned…
And happy Thursday!

Leah
