The city council is meeting tonight to discuss solid waste collection rates and changes to criteria for joining city boards, commissions and committees. According to the city, since 2008, solid waste rates have risen 10 times, with five years where they didn't go up. The city in April most recently raised the rates by the same amounts. Join the discussion tonight at 6 p.m. As for the BCCs, the city council will consider whether they should remove barriers to joining these committees.
