With New Year's celebrations just around the corner, San Mateo County is reminding residents not to drink and drive.
District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe issued an alert urging people to stay safe on New Year's Eve by planning ahead to ensure secure travel.
Party-goers are encouraged to choose a designated driver ahead of time or take a taxi. SamTrans, Caltrain and rideshares are also available, with free service on all trains from Saturday, Dec. 31, at 8 p.m. until Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at 3:30 a.m. The last train will depart San Francisco at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
