Good morning, Redwood City!

Redwood City officials will update the city council tonight on how the recent storms and flooding have impacted city operations and property. Last week, Redwood City issued a local emergency proclamation, which it will ask city council members to sign this evening. The city is just one of many cities across the Midpeninsula that have declared states of emergency. Declaring a state of emergency typically means that a local municipality or jurisdiction can qualify for state or federal aid, if it comes that. It also means that local, county and state jurisdictions could collaborate and share resources.

There is more rain and wind on the way, so be careful out there because I've heard many stories about trees toppling over and flooded homes.

Stay dry,

Michelle
