Caltrain crews will perform utility potholing work in Redwood City from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 3. and are advising residents of potential road closures.

Maintenance will require partial closures to vehicle and pedestrian traffic along the Whipple Avenue, Stafford Street and Arguello Street railroad crossing.

One side of the lanes and sidewalks will be closed at a time, and construction signs, illuminated directional signs and traffic cones will be placed to mark the lane closures.

On top of the daytime work, infrastructure will also be installed along the Caltrain corridor. This work may continue into the night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Night work will be limited as much as possible to avoid distribution to the neighboring communities. However, certain work must be performed at night to maintain regular Caltrain services. Crews will utilize acoustic noise barrier blankets and position lights away from residential and business areas to reduce nighttime disruptions.

Caltrain has established a dedicated project hotline for residents to contact with any concerns about potential impacts. For more information and to sign up for construction updates, click here
