Morning, Redwood City!
What a mess. Are you still without power? Many of you wrote yesterday to express frustration about the hours/days(?) you've been without electricity and the mixed messages sent to you by PG&E. As of last night, some of you had received messages indicating that your lights would be back on by 10 p.m. TONIGHT.
Over in EPA, Vice Mayor Antonio Lopez put out an urgent plea to PG&E to restore power to his community.
"We have seniors who are cold. We have children who have been deprived of their education because two of our public schools, are out of power. Let me be painfully clear: this is on your corporation," Lopez said in his message to PG&E.
As of yesterday, PG&E said 2,800 PG&E crew members were working around the clock to restore power, and 97% of customers affected saw power restored within 12 hours. It sounds like Redwood City is part of the other 3%.
