Good morning, Redwood City.

As you're making your weekend plans, remember Peninsula Restaurant Week is finally here! Starting today, you can support local restaurants while treating your taste buds. See the full list of participating eateries here

This Sunday, there will be an opportunity for the community to come together and heal after the tragic shooting on Redwood Ave. earlier this month.

Redwood City District 4 Councilmember Elmer Martinez Saballos is organizing a listening session this Sunday to give the community a space to heal and share their experiences related to this incident and public safety in District 4. The session will take place at the Sequoia YMCA at Palm Park, located at 1445 Hudson St. in Redwood City. The public is invited to join anytime from 9:30 am – 11:00 am.

On Monday, May 22 at 6 p.m., staff will update the City Council on the status of the proposal to regulate retail sales of guns and ammunition in Redwood City. View the agenda and ways to participate either in person or virtually by visiting www.RedwoodCity.org/CouncilMeetings

Thank you S. Hollis Johnson for today's photo, "Broadway at Near Sundown."

Send me an email if you would like your photos featured, or if you'd like to let me know about something happening in the community.

Have a great weekend.
