Good morning, Redwood City,
Some notable events are coming up…
Redwood City is preparing for Pride festivities next month and will host a Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on Wednesday, May 31, at Courthouse Square. Kickstarting the event, Mayor Jeff Gee and Dana Johnson from the LGBTQ Commission will share welcoming remarks and some commentary. Post the flag-raising ceremony, the city will screen BraveMaker's short film, "Alex is a Queen," a narrative that delves into self-discovery and self-expression.
The 3rd Annual Downtown Redwood City Car Show is back at Courthouse Square on Saturday, June 10. There will be 125 cars and motorcycles, beer and wine and tons of vendors.
ART on Square on the Square returns on June 9 to coincide with Music on the Square, featuring Santana cover band Carnaval.
Don't forget the Kiwanis Farmers Market happens every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get your locally grown fruit and veggies.
Thank you to Gato K. Rivera again for his lovely photo of "Coffee and Cars" taken during an Easter gathering at Woodside Plaza. If you have a photo to share, email us at editor@rwcpulse.com.
