Frank Edward Rivers, fondly known as "Buddy", passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2023 with family by his side.
Buddy was born on August 15, 1954. He was raised in Millbrae by his loving parents, Frank (Bud) Rivers and Dorothy Rivers, along with his brothers, Billy (deceased), Gary (deceased), Tim (deceased), and Ron. He was the beloved husband of Chris for 26 years. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Buddy attended St. Dunstan Grammar School, was a 1972 Serra High School Graduate and went on to Graduate from San Diego State University in 1977.
He was employed at Freeman Trade Show, Exhibit and Event Company in San Francisco. He was full of joy, and had an infectious laugh, with a hug always at the ready. He was a great entertainer and loved by so many. His moustache framed his beautiful smile. He loved the beach, an ice-cold beer, and was a self-proclaimed Popsicle King.
You could always find Buddy in his backyard "pool" soaking up the rays. He was the Fred Astaire of our time and Motown was his jam.
