Good morning, Redwood City.
Two big public hearings at tonight's City Council meeting.
The first involves the proposed redevelopment of Redwood LIFE, an office park in Redwood Shores. The development has received pushback from some community members, and prompted opposition groups to emerge. Stop Redwood LIFE voices concerns about everything from pollution to increased noise and traffic to the destruction of the natural habitat. At an April study session, the city asked its planning department and the project's developer to develop an alternative plan. Tonight, the council will decide how to move forward.
Council is also slated to an ordinance amending the Municipal Code to adopt licensing and security requirements for retail establishments selling firearms or ammunition.
The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at the Council Chambers on 1017 Middlefield Road and on Zoom. Click here for the agenda, which has more information about how to attend.
