Hello Redwood City,
I'll bet Hurricane Hilary is beginning to make its presence felt in your neck of the woods as you read my note this morning. Hang tight.
Well, as for the day's news, first things first. There have been three confirmed thefts in the parking lot of Costco this month. The police are classifying them as "thefts by distraction" and are imploring shoppers, especially the elderly, to be careful. If strangers approach you, question the pretext and hold your belongings close.
On a brighter note, starting today, the weekly Farmers' Market at Redwood City, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, is back after a 'pandemic hiatus'.
As for today's photo, I've reached into our archives to pull this one up for you. It has been clicked by former Pulse reporter Leah Worthington. Why this picture? Because we don't need a reason to celebrate love, do we?
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Oh, don't forget to check out Gerd Stieler's new blog today.
