Good morning, Redwood City!

The city plans to boost its services for children, teens, and families by June 2024 by introducing new parks, enhanced mental health services, and an increase in youth-focused programs, especially in underserved areas. The initiative, backed by a $7 million commitment from the city's general fund, aims to empower a demographic that constitutes about 29% of Redwood City's residents while also addressing challenges like the growing deficit in child care and ensuring more inclusive and diverse programming.

The Zoppé Italian Family Circus Opens This Friday! The family is back in the tent at the Main Library parking lot.

Halloween is coming, so be sure to send us your spooky neighborhood photos to editor@rwcpulse.com. The city is also doing its annual "Haunt your Home" decorating contest. The deadline to enter is Oct. 20.

Beverly Morgan sent us a photo of some zombies who have returned to haunt her home.
