Good morning, Redwood City!

Pay Raises for city's top earners

The Redwood City Council on Monday unanimously approved a 6% and 10% pay raise for the city attorney and city manager, respectively, despite multiple public commenters arguing against the raises. Yet, council members acknowledged that the city attorney, who will now make an annual salary of $323,691 and the city manager, who will make about $394,000 a year, far exceeded their expectations and that they hoped the two staff members would work with the city for years to come. What do you think? Send us your thoughts and comments on the recent staff pay raises to editor@rwcpulse.com. More on the raises to come.
